Note: this year both tecnology and entrepreneurship will be in english, so from now on this page will be written in english.

First Term

Economy

It's the study of the production, consumption, distribution  of goods and services and the transfer of wealth to produce and obtain those goods.

Economics explains how people interact in the markets to get what they want, it relates human interaction and goverment forces.

Economics include two types: macroeconomics and microeconomics.

A study of economics can describe How a country uses its resources and the outcome of investing in industries.

 

Economic sectors:


Primary sector: Includes fishing, mining, extracting (quarrying), forestry, agriculture and cattle.

Secondary sector: It's in charge of the production and distribution of goods.

Terciary sector: It relates to the services such as Hospitals, restaurants, public services and schools.

Cuaternary sector: It's related to the investigation of technology for the use of resources

Bank of the republic: functions

 

 

1. Administration of International Reserves:

It's the bank's responsability to manage and administer the reserves, investments and reserve assets of the country. It's also its responsability  to look for the security and stability in its investments and  to ensure timely payments to other countries.

2. Banker of banks:

The bank of the republic is the depository of the money used in the fulfilment of the bank reserve requirments, that is also used  to regulate the credit-issuing capacity of the banking system and  backs the liquifity of the banking system.  In addition, it manages the electronic negotiation system and makes contributions on the normal  funtioning of any payment.

3. Credit Functions of the Banco de la República:

The bank of the republic concedes credits to non-private and non-individual institutions, except for the ones with liquidity problems and will only be conceded  with the unanimous approval of the board of  directors.


4. Foreign exchange functions:

To regulate the exchange with international markets and intervene with necessary.


5. Government banker, fiscal agent and trustee


 Recieves funds from the government and other public entities and takes part on the negotiation of credits according to the established by the board of directors.


6. Issue of legar tender

 It's the only entity with the authorization to issue the national currency with the congress' approval.


7. Promotor of scientific, social and cultural development

To create foundations to support the investigation in different fields of sciene and also promote the cultural and social development through the creation and administration of libraries nd the preservation of our cultural heritage.


8.The board of directors' report to the congress

The bank must report to the congress all the decisions made and the guidelines used to make the decisions about all the aspects the bank is in charge of. It also. Must report the results of every policy to assure the good usage of the money.

But,What are the advantages and disadvantages of social  networks in entrepreneurship and business?
 

Advantages:

-Easier and cheaper advertising
-Saving money, cutting costs
-do it from home
-Open public
-Online ay
-Product globalization
-Save time
-Better makingto compete with challengers
 

Disadvantages:

-Banking insecurity
-Less job generation
-Not all  people have access to technology
-hackers
-Can't heck product's quality  befor you buy
-lots of challengers
-Shipping cost
-Bad advertising
-Persona insecurity(you don't know who you deal with)
-extra cost for returns

Linked in

Linked in is a business-oriented social network where you can create a business profile that allows employers and workes to make connections.

Advantages:

-Quick and easy way to be found

-It's a cheap way of founding workers

-a standar and familiar formats that allows applications to be shown in an attracting way

-it's in sync with the future of recruiting

-You can find new ways to stand out, such as partcipating in group discussions or sharin interesting articles

-Quick and easy way to find recruiters

Disadvantages:

-It takes time and effort to make a good profile

-you can't tailor your profile according to each job

-Not everybody has an active linked in profile

-you don't know who sees your profile.

-You have to maintain a good reputation online ajd any outdated information might give a wrong idea of your experience.

 

Cases of insecurity

In 2014 linked in faced an user lawsuit for the violation of the users' privacy after several stories of users who were rejected after their employers saw private linked in information.

In 2015 Linked in payed 13 million dollars after a lawsuit over intrusive emails.

 

Cases of benefit

Jacob Erlick: After dreaming about working t southwest airlines, he decided to apply for interships and full-time jobs with no success. But after every interview, he connected with each southwest employee or recruiter. After a while, he made a connection with a recruiter from southwest airlines and arranged a chat to talk about  job opening. He lter joined southwest as  a pricing analyst

Nataly Kelly: after years of working with an agent, she hadn't found a publisher for  her book, so she decided to go online and found the profile of a publisher from a subdivision of penguin. She sent her a message with a description of her book and the publisher answered saying that she was intrigued with her book and wanted to publish it. She alo said that she loved finding new projects in unconventiona ways.

 

LinkedIn vs Plaxo

They both havesimilar concepts, but linkedIn is more popular.
linkedIn is more business-oriented while Plaxo ismore about keeping your information up-to-dat for the people you know. That's why LinkedIn is useful to make new business connections while plaxo is about kepping in touch with people you know.

Types of Businesses:

1.Sole propiatorship: it means that it's  a business owned by one person who is known as the propiator or owner.  The propiator has a full range of responsibilities from funding to selling to customers, if the business has debts the owner is responsible for it, this is called unlimited liability

2. Partnerships: a partnership refers to a business owned by two or more individuals and they share the cost and responsibilities of owning it and operating it the terms of the partnership are recorded in a partnership agreement, when the owners share the debt this is called limited liability, so they are responsible for the funding of the business.

3. Coorporations: it's a business with legal status with rights, privileges and liabilities that are different from the people who work for the business. This corporations can be a one person business or a multinational .
